Training led by Rick Ferrell, president, Retail Market Answers, LLC
Rick Ferrell is a national and international speaker on a variety of revitalization and business development topics.

With 20 years experience in shopping center development, redevelopment, leasing, management, marketing, and operations, Ferrell has worked in executive capacities with The Rouse Company, Compass Retail, Arbor Property Trust and Forest City Ratner Companies. While at Forest City, Rick was involved in all aspects of predevelopment planning for the company’s retail and mixed-use real estate portfolio. Post development, Rick was responsible for leasing and managing more than ten million square feet of retail and mixed-use space, encompassing 26 redevelopments throughout the Boroughs of New York City, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

In 2003 Rick co-founded an innovative program for downtown revitalization (importing his private-sector experience for public-sector application) focusing on preferred and sustainable growth strategies.

The program evolved and today Retail Market Answers, LLC, (RMA) specializes in economic planning, business development, and implementation services in accordance with “smart growth” principles and provides services throughout the eastern seaboard. The RMA approach to business development focuses on appropriate (value added) merchandising, adaptive reuse and historic preservation as a means of revitalizing downtown commercial business districts.
