Located across the commonwealth near our bountiful natural and historic attractions, many of these Main Street districts offer charming overnight accommodations that put you in the heart of fun and excitement - convenient to other area attractions.

- The Virginia Downtown Driving Tour brochure encourages people to discover downtown by listing attractions, architectural gems, events and little known facts about each of the 18 exciting Main Street communities.
- You can also have a virtual visit to each of the Main Street communities through the online travel itinerary Virginia Main Street Communities: A National Register of Historic Places Travel Itinerary. This travel itinerary was created in partnership with the National Park Service, the Virginia Department of Historic Resources and the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers.
- The Main Street Annual Report features information about the Main Street Approach™, Virginia Main Street news and program statistics, profiles of the 20 designated communities and details about DHCD Commercial District Affiliates in an exciting and colorful format.
