Governor McDonnell’s
Task Force for Local Government
Mandate Review

Provide Comments

Local Governments face serious challenges when trying to balance their budgets during complex financial times. This difficulty is exacerbated when the state places burdensome mandates on localities. This Task Force – created by Governor McDonnell as a result of legislation introduced by Senator Steve Newman (R-Bedford) – will identify mandates imposed on localities that are overly burdensome or unnecessary and recommend appropriate changes, providing relief to local governments.

The Honorable Shaun Kenney, Vice Chair, Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors

Kimball Payne, City Manager, City of Lynchburg
