In order to determine the Housing and Community Development and Planning needs of the Commonwealth, as well as the best use of resources to address those needs, the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is undertaking its annual planning process.
The planning process will result in the development of an Annual Action Plan, which will outline the prioritized needs and the use of available resources to address those needs for the upcoming fiscal year. The anticipated federal housing and community development resources include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), National Housing Trust Fund, Emergency Solution Grant (ESG), and Housing for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA). DHCD will accept input on anticipated federal housing and community resources including goals and objectives for housing and community development, the projected use of funding, and the method of distribution at a virtual public hearing.
