The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), in collaboration with the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA), is offering Lead Abatement Worker, Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP), and Lead Abatement Supervisor training in Chester, Virginia.
CCWA is required to issue unique course completion certificates to each individual who passes the Lead Abatement Supervisor course. When you create your profile, please use your full legal name, home address and submit a photo of your face to bpeterson@ccwa.vccs.edu. Photo can be taken with your cell phone and emailed. You will not receive a certification for this course without a photo.
Attendees must attend the entire day-long class to be eligible for certification.
The training will be conducted in person and not virtually, due to the "hands-on" components of the classes.
Seats are limited, and DHCD will be covering tuition costs provided that the participants are present for the full day. If participants are not present from 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., we will bill the partner organization for the tuition cost.
By providing this training, we intend to build Virginia's capacity to effectively, compliantly and promptly address lead-based paint in houses occupied by low- to moderate-income households.
If you have any questions or problems registering, contact Bruce Peterson at Community College Workforce Alliance at 804-706-5181 or bpeterson@ccwa.vccs.edu.
