Virginia Main Street Regional Rev Up: "Switch to Six" Diverse Funding & Sustainable Program Operations - Bristol

Workshops and Webinars
5/18/2023 10:00 am to 5/18/2023 3:00 pm

Event Description

Join us for an immersive half-day workshop that digs deep into Main Street America’s (MSA) third accreditation standard- Diverse Funding & Sustainable Program Operations. Led by self-described spreadsheet nerd Jennifer Goldman, this presentation “Money Matters” will dive into funding best practices, diverse funding streams, and work-plan-aligned budgeting.

This interactive workshop provides opportunities for various group exercises which will foster organization-wide commitments to the fundraising process and design policies for financial oversight. Jennifer Goldman is an established Community Relations Specialist with a degree in Business Management and Human Relations from George Mason University. She served as a Main Street Executive Director for five years and loves sharing her specialized knowledge with organization leaders.

As part of the Virginia Main Street (VMS) program's "Switch to Six" series, which prepares Main Street community professionals and volunteers for the new MSA Community Accreditation Standards, this in-person training will foster organization-wide commitments to the fundraising process and design policies for financial oversight.

Communities have the option to select which VMS Rev Up workshop they'd like to attend. Training content will be the same at all three workshops so choose the location that's most convenient for you!
