About GO Virginia
GO Virginia invests in collaborative, region-led projects that grow and diversify Virginia’s economy. By bringing localities together around shared industry and workforce priorities, the program helps create high-paying jobs, strengthen targeted sectors, and build long-term economic resilience across the Commonwealth.
GO Virginia empowers regional economic development by uniting localities with shared workforce and industry priorities into nine collaborative regions across the Commonwealth. Each region is guided by a Regional Council—composed of business leaders, educators, workforce professionals, and local officials—that sets strategic projects grounded in the region’s Growth and Diversification Plan. These councils are supported by designated Support Organizations responsible for managing program delivery and grant administration.
